Portland is my favorite city in the whole wide world.  It is such a cool place to be.  A lot of people from California come here because they get tired of all the riff raff from there.  That and they probably don’t like the earthquakes or the fact that California could some day fall in the ocean.  I just moved here from small town Montana though.  Its a lot more expensive here than I thought.  My car insurance rates went up and my rent is higher.  Everything costs more here.  I don’t know how small town people make the transition.  I am so broke right now I don’t know what to do.  I got bills up the rear.  That ain’t no joke.  My family is tired of supporting, so I’m going to have to find a different way to get some cash.  I can’t find any work either because I am a student part of the time.  So I don’t know - living in the city can be very frustrating!

I recently found out that my cat has a tumor on her stomach. I was petting her and I could feel a weird lump that I haven’t felt there before, so I took her to the vet. My gas service was cut off in September when I fell behind in the bills.  I’ll need a $250 deposit to get the service tuned back on.  I had already been living without a microwave since it broke last year.
